Ultraprocessed beverages and processed meats increase the incidence of hypertension in Mexican women
Estimate associations between consumption of UPF and UPF subgroups and incident of hypertension.
A total of 3,752 cases of hypertension were identified. Mean contribution of UPF to total energy intake was 29.8% energy with 23.4% from solid food and 6.4% from liquid food. While there is no associated with the consumption of solid UPF and hypertension, there is an associated with consumption of liquid UPF and hypertension
